Remake by Ilima Todd

Nine lives in a world where most freedoms aren't a choice.  Growing up in an environment of androgyny, Nine is taught that when she turns seventeen, she will be allowed to choose who and what she will become, but when her plane to the "remake" facility goes down in the ocean, she washes up on a shore where the society is very different from her own.  Taken in by a local family, Nine learns the meaning of love, life and true freedom, but when the Prime Maker from her homeland discovers her whereabouts, she needs to decide, which way of life will she choose?
Remake is a gripping novel that brings a refreshing positive perspective on wholesome values and traditional family life.  Looking at these old fashioned principles through new eyes is engaging and revitalizing, I highly recommend it.
