All the Crooked Saints by Maggie Stiefvater
All the Crooked Saints is an entertaining tale of the Soria family in Bicho Raro, Colorado who can perform miracles. From far and wide, pilgrims come to the Sorias for a help. The strange miracles performed by the Sorias manifest the darkness inside of the pilgrims into something symbolically tangible. The only problem is that the Sorias believe it is taboo to help the pilgrims understand their manifestations. This amusing complication forms a cacophony of characters who are all facing inner struggles and trying to better themselves, including the Sorias.
This lighthearted tale puts an interesting spin on the bad habits or insecurities we all deal with and how we blow them out of proportion. It was entertaining from beginning to end.
