Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer
Vampire Edward Cullen can hear people's thoughts - everyone
except Bella Swan, that is. This anomaly dangerously draws Edward to Bella, and
she has the sweetest blood he's smelled in his entire seventy years as a
vampire. As Edward wrestles with his fascination with Bella, their attraction
grows despite the impracticality of a relationship. Battling his conscience, Edward’s
love for Bella deepens, complicating their relationship and endangering Bella's
life, and he must decide, should he stay with her?
Edward's version of Stephenie Meyer's original novel Twilight is nothing short of phenomenal. Hearing the insights to his thoughts throughout their first encounters endears you to Edward. Stephenie does a great job portraying the complexity of his emotions as he battles between what he is and what he wants. It's a magnificent companion to the tragic love story of Twilight, and I highly recommend it.
