Have you every finished a book and regretted reading it so fast? Well, Legendborn is that book for me. I just couldn't put it down. 

This is Tracy Deonn's debut young adult fantasy, and she knocked it straight out of the park. As soon as I finished Legendborn, I was scouring the internet and basically stalking the writer, in order to find out when book two will be released.

The main character, Bree Matthews, struggles with the loss of her mother. And, wanting to escape all the sympathetic stares from those who know her, decides to attend UNC-Chapel Hill.

Bree's life is forever changed from the moment she enters the college, discovering the reality of Arthurian Legends and African American Hudoo, as she soon comes to realize, that she too, has magical powers of her own. Bree must navigate her way through racism and sexist attitudes as she battles magical and  demonic attacks, and infiltrates the order of the Round Table.

When Caz and Louise are found standing over Andrew's dead body, the police work to piece together which one of them is guilty, the wife or the ex-wife.

Louise was the "other woman," Caz is the woman scorned, and although Andrew may appear to have chosen one over the other, he can't seem to leave the past where it belongs.

This soon becomes too much for the women, who begin infiltrating each other's lives to seek revenge. 

But as Louise and Caz try to destroy each other, they discover Andrew isn't the man they thought he was. And the further down the rabbit hole they get, they more they realize that he has to be stopped - at all costs.

One in three was a thoroughly enjoyable read, full of surprises and raw emotion.

Playing Nice by J.P. Delaney

If you pick this book up, be sure you have nothing else to do, because you won't be able to put it down. 

J.P. Delaney really knocked this one out of the park.

Pete Riley is blindsided as he answered the front door to Miles Lambert - the supposed father of his son. Only, this is news to Pete, who has been raising Theo for the past two years. But as he listens to what Miles has to say, he realizes that he is, indeed, in the middle of any parents nightmare - an accidental baby swap at the hospital. 

Sounds like a familiar story, but don't be fooled. This is is not the cliche version that you're used to. Pete's discovery is just the beginning of a giant rabbit hole, and what comes next will keep you on the edge of your seat. 

I can't give this book enough stars.
